Caitlin Cacciatore is a queer poet and writer based in the outskirts of New York City, on what was once the traditional territory of the Lenni-Lenape people.
Caitlin believes strongly in intersectional feminism, especially as a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. She is a staunch anti-racist, and an ally to marginalized communities everywhere.
Caitlin won first prize in the Bacopa Literary Review 2020 for poetry. She was long-listed for the international erbacce-prize 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. She has been published in the UK-based Sylvia Magazine for the poem “blizzard,” as well as in Rebellious Magazine for an article examining the detriments of fast fashion and on StarTrek.com with an article entitled, “The Needs of the Few: Queering the Canon.” She is also a 2024 Best of Net nominee for her poem, “Still Life with Roses,” first published in Sunlight Press, and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her poem, “Memento Mori.“
When Caitlin isn’t writing, she likes to spend time with her black cat, walk along the beach, read a wide array of literature, and cook wholesome meals for her family. She earned a BA in Artificial Intelligence Studies from Baruch College, CUNY, where she graduated summa cum laude, and has an MA in Digital Humanities. She will commence her pursuit of a degree in Environmental Sciences in the autumn of 2025.
