Dear Friends, Family, Fellow Authors, and Cherished Readers,
I write to you today on a chilly mid-October morning. Samhain is nearly upon us, and Halloween too, then shortly after – the Day of the Dead. Those of you who celebrate secularly or religiously, please have a safe holiday, and rejoice in seeing all the little children dressed up in their costumes, rejoice in the sweetness this year brings, and rejoice in knowing that the wheel of the year keeps turning.
I rejoice particularly in knowing that my ancestors celebrated Samhain for many generations, going back hundreds of years. This time of the year, the veil between worlds is thinner, so they say, and I can feel them close at hand.
In this Update from the Author, I am honored to present to you a video interview in which I speak about my writing circle, my love of Star Trek, and my writing process, among other things, including my lifetime literary goals.
